The question about penis enlarger pump is around many men. Does it really work? If so, where can I get and how much does it cost? Well, let's learn the truth about the pumps. The pump or vacuum constriction device (VCD) is an external device created to help men with erectile dysfunction to have and maintain an erection. It consists of a pump which is attached to the penis and an acrylic tube in which you introduce your penis to create the vacuum when you start pumping to create an erection. When the pennies become erect, a constriction ring, also called band, is placed at the base of the penis to help maintain the erection by holding the blood long enough to have sex. The band shouldn't be left there for over 30 minutes since cutting off the blood flow can cause serious injury to your penis. Some pumps are made to be operated manually and others with battery power. The second ones are a good choice for men with poor coordination or strength in the hands or with arthritis.
A penis vacuum pump has its advantages and disadvantages. The favorable aspects about it are that that it is not an invasive method, such as pills, injections or surgery and, it has the less side effects and/or risks; its cost is cheaper; it can be used in combination with other treatments (e.g. pills) and it can also be applied by men who underwent a prostatectomy or a Peyronie's surgery. The disadvantages are that this device of penis stretching cannot be used by men who have a record of blood disorders neither by men under any blood thinning medications treatment. Side effects include: bluish skin color when the band is in place, numbness, bruises and/or pain, sensation of trapped semen at the moment of ejaculation.
Penis pumps costs around $300 to $500 depending on the type; the ones which run with battery are more expensive. These devices sold with prescription have a better chance to be made by trusty manufactures whereas the over the counter don't. Insurance usually covers just a part of the cost.
Different studies point out that the penis pumps work from 50% to 80% in relation to ED treatment and the gaining and maintaining erections and when following instructions carefully. Keep in mind that the erection can feel unnatural since it is not spontaneous. You and your partner need time to get use to it.
Evidently the VCD can represent a highly recommended option for men with erectile dysfunction or other conditions mentioned above. A man with ED who tried pill and didn't work and who is not a good candidate for an implant can feel grateful but please notice there is no evidence of the existence of the penis enlarger pump.
